The RCA400 combines the small
RCA60 display connected to the FD20 data logger by means of a short curly cable and a push/pull connector so that the display can be mounted on a steering wheel. The display windows of the steering wheel are reproduced as far as possible
onto the small LCD display and the buttons perform the same functions as the buttons on the steering wheel. The display modifies the size of the characters depending on the nature of the data to be shown. For example, if the lap
time is the main feature of the display, then this is shown in the largest characters possible (as shown above). On the other hand, when the performance monitor is shown then, optionally, the display shows a bar graph indicating how much
faster or slower the current lap is compared with the fastest recorded. Any two of the gauge readings, oil pressure, water temperature, oil temperature or fuel pressure/level can be shown along the bottom of the screen. If any of these
